Refund Policy

Last updated: April 2, 2026

This Refund Policy describes refunds and returns for paid access to DirectorDeck(the "Service"), a subscription software product for competitive intelligence and AI-assisted reporting. It works together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Paddle is the Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Refunds, withdrawals, and cancellations of payments are governed exclusively by Paddle's Refund Policy (the "Paddle Policy") and the Paddle Buyer Terms in effect at the time of your transaction, together with any mandatory consumer laws that apply to you. If anything on this page disagrees with the Paddle Policy or your checkout terms, the Paddle Policy and checkout terms control.

Current subscription list prices are published on our Pricing page.

2. Refund and withdrawal periods (calendar days)

The following periods are taken from the Paddle Policy and are measured in whole calendar days from the date of your transaction, unless Paddle states a different start date in your receipt or checkout. Paddle verifies eligibility using its transaction records.

  • 14 calendar days — European Union, European Economic Area, Switzerland, and United Kingdom: statutory withdrawal rights for eligible consumers on qualifying digital content and service contracts (including the first payment under a subscription), as described in Paddle Policy section 2.2.
  • 14 calendar days — Turkey and Israel: statutory withdrawal on qualifying contracts (Paddle Policy section 2.3).
  • 7 calendar days — South Korea, Brazil, and China: unconditional cancellation rights for eligible consumers (Paddle Policy section 2.4).
  • 7 calendar days — Canada: unconditional cancellation rights for eligible consumers (Paddle Policy section 2.5).
  • 5 calendar days — Singapore: unconditional cancellation rights for eligible consumers (Paddle Policy section 2.6).
  • 14 calendar days — Paddle may, at its sole discretion, consider refund requests submitted within 14 days of the transaction date (Paddle Policy section 7). Submitting a request in this window does not guarantee approval; Paddle reviews each request in line with the Paddle Policy.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, transactions are non-refundable outside the periods and processes described in the Paddle Policy (Paddle Policy section 1.1).

Nothing in this Policy limits non-waivable statutory rights, including rights relating to products that are not as described, faulty, or not fit for purpose (see Paddle Policy section 1.4 and section 4).

3. How to request a refund or cancel a subscription

To withdraw, cancel, and/or request a refund, contact Paddle using one of these methods:

  • Use the "View receipt" or "Manage subscription" link in your Paddle transaction email; or
  • Submit a request via the support link on your receipt or in your account billing area; or
  • Visit paddle.net and use Paddle's buyer support and refund request options.

If a transaction is not eligible for a refund, you may still cancel your subscription to stop future renewals. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period of your subscription and prevents further payments, as set out in Paddle Policy section 3.5.

If you are eligible for a refund under the Paddle Policy, Paddle will process it using the same payment method where possible, within the timeframe stated in the Paddle Policy (section 3.2).

4. Technical or access issues with the Service

If you have a material technical issue or defect that prevents you from using the Service as described, the Paddle Policy directs you to contact DirectorDeck (the supplier) first, then Paddle if the issue cannot be resolved (Paddle Policy section 4). Signed-in users may contact us through the in-app Support form.

5. After a refund

If Paddle approves a refund for the Service under the Paddle Policy, access to the Service may end as described in the Paddle Policy (section 1.6).

Paddle is an independent company. DirectorDeck is a supplier of the software; Paddle is the reseller and merchant of record for checkout.
